What is required to reserve The Lawton Estate for our Event?

Special Event, Wedding & Reception sites are often booked up to a year in advance. Custom payment schedules may be made to accommodate special needs. The minimum requirement is $700.00 deposit. Every dollar of every payment is applied to your account. No service fees or gratuities.

What does the Building Rental Fee Include?
Rental includes tables, chairs, guest table linens, glassware, china, flatware and much, much more.

Must I furnish my own caterer?
The authorized caterer for The Lawton Estate is Dewell Events, (972) 669-0368, ( www.dewellevents.com ) whose commitment to excellence and years of impeccable reputation are evident in every event catered.

Can the client provide the alcohol for the Event?
Yes, the client is permitted to furnish beer, white or blush wines. Red wines. Beer kegs, and hard liquor are not permitted. Beer should be purchased in cans. Every beverage is poured into a glass when served. At the end of the event, our staff will load any unopened alcohol into the contact person’s vehicle.

Is The Lawton Estate available for the rehearsal dinner?
Yes. There are many menus and themes from which you may select . The party patio is lovely for an outside "Grilled Dinner" or perhpas your choice would be the Gallery for the Italian Cafe complete with red and white linens, colorful centerpieces and background music.

Are there any gratuities, cake cutting fees, etc.?
There is no hidden fees at The Lawton Estate. We give our potential client’s very complete proposals. These proposals list in detail each charge associated with your event, including tax.

Will there be a coordinating supervisor at the Event?
Definitely! A couple of weeks prior to your event, a coordinated timeline for your event is written and approved by you. At the event, the coordinating supervisor makes sure that everything runs smoothly and according to your wishes. This leaves you free to enjoy your event!

Does Dewell Events do wedding cakes?
Only the freshest, prettiest cakes in town! You’ll want to be sure and schedule an appointment with Bev or Rich for a cake tasting to see why the majority of our clients choose Dewell Events to provide the wedding cake.

Is The Lawton Estate available for small, simple wedding ceremonies?
Call us for our availability for small, yet elegant ceremonies. Perfect for couples who would like more than a court house ceremony, but less than the traditional wedding reception.

Is there more than one event at a time at The Lawton Estate?
For the traditional wedding reception, your event is the only one at that time. That means our staff is completely devoted to making your event spectacular!

Is valet parking necessary for events at The Lawton Estate?
The Lawton Estate has plenty of free-convenient on-site parking (making valet parking unnecessary).

If my wedding ceremony takes place at The Lawton Estate, what time is the Bridal Party allowed to arrive (prior to the rental time)?
The Bridal party may arrive at The Lawton Estate when the caterer arrives. This is typically 1-½ hours prior to the Rental time.

My wedding ceremony is at The Lawton Estate, what time should my wedding invitation specify?

One half-hour after your rental time begins. This allows time for guests to arrive and be seated for the ceremony. For example, if your rental time begins at 7:00 p.m., then your invitation should say 7:30 o’clock p.m. Guests will begin to arrive at 7:00 o’clock p.m.
